When should we book our session?
The sooner the better. I can only accommodate a limited number of sessions per month, so please contact me as soon as you are ready to book and I will reserve a spot for you on my calendar.
Newborn sessions are really best to book when you are still expecting to ensure my availability - I really hate having to turn last minute enquiries down.
When is it best to photograph a newborn?
When baby is between 4 and 14 days old. At that time, babies are very sleepy. It is really not about the size of the baby (as many of you probably think), but about the sensitivity to touch and about being sleepy! At that age we can do a much wider variety of beautiful curled-up poses. As babies pass the 14-day mark, they become more used to our environment, more sensitive and alert. This can largely affect the outcome of the shoot. Don't be late for your newborn session - book while you are still expecting.
What if I am too late for my newborn session (baby is older than 2 weeks)?
Please don't worry, it may be too late for a "proper" newborn session with our props, however, it is never too late for a beautiful lifestyle session with your baby. All these first few weeks with your newborn are so precious and these moments will never be repeated - it is really worth capturing these precious frames of baby in parents' arms and the natural home environment.
What if I book my Newborn session and my baby comes earlier or later than my due date?
That is never a problem. Unless you are having a scheduled c-section, that is expected. I am very flexible on newborn session dates. At the moment of placing a booking, I will have your due date marked in my calendar and we will work around it to schedule the best date for your newborn session as soon as your little one arrives. I always keep in touch with expectant parents for any updates and they always message me as soon as the baby is born. As long as your booking is complete and you are in my calendar and you are guaranteed a session.
Do you provide props for Newborn sessions?
Yes! You really don't have to worry about anything at all. I provide everything we need for the newborn session including
all the cute little outfits, hats, headbands, tutus, blankets, wraps and buckets.
Do you offer bump-to-baby packages?
Yes.
When is it best time for a Maternity Session?
The best time to have your Maternity portraits taken is between week 30 - 35weeks of your pregnancy. You will have
a beautiful baby bump at this time and still be comfortable to pose for the portraits. We offer beautiful Maternity dresses for these sessions.
What's your experience as a photographer?
I have been specialising in Newborn, Maternity and Family photography for 10 years now. Not only do I have a great experience in posing babies safely but also in creating amazing portraits and making clients feel very comfortable during sessions.
Rest assured, I will guide you through the whole process to ensure that all of you will feel at ease and to ensure that this will be
a great, memorable experience for you and your whole family. I will give you advice on what to wear, how to position yourself during the shoot to look your best and I will make sure that our work together is a great experience!
When is the best time to photograph babies in their first year?
There are several milestones in the baby's first year that I recommend having a portrait session for:
- newborn session
- 3 months' shoot
- 6 months' sitter session
- a fun cake smash to celebrate baby's first birthday
These sessions are best to have. Babies grow so quickly that all parents appreciate having these precious portraits from baby's first year. I do offer a full package of all these 4 sessions or you can of course book them all separately.
When can we see our photographs?
Your proofs are available for viewing a week after your photo session. These will be images for viewing and choosing only and after you have made your picks, your final images will be available 3-4 weeks from sending me your final order.
What is included in my chosen package?
There are no hidden costs with me and no additional session fees. At the time of placing a booking, you will be able to choose from packages I offer for that particular session. My packages include a session fee so my work on the day of the shoot,
a phone pre-session consultation the day before, a certain number of images, basic editing of your images and the use of my outfits and props for newborn babies and maternity session dresses.
Can I purchase additional images after the photo shoot?
Yes.
Do you edit / retouch our photographs?
Yes. A standard / basic editing is included in each package. That is mostly to ensure that newborns look their best in the photos (dry skin editing, getting rid of blemishes and single spots/scratches and of any background imperfections). Any extra editing can be ordered separately and in addition to the package. Please contact me directly for more details if you are inetersted in any specific editing.
